Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite National Park – The Spirit Of The Puffing Wind
If you’re somewhere around California, you wouldn’t want to miss the Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite National Park. Water falling from 188 metres, and the play of the wind, it’s the beautiful sight to witness and to enjoy.
188 metres is some height, when the wind blows, the water appears to fall sideways. And sometimes, it hardly reaches the ground, when there’s not enough water.

Bridalveil Fall was home to a vengeful spirit named Pohono which guarded the entrance to the valley, and that those leaving the valley must not look directly into the waterfall lest they be cursed. They also believed that inhaling the mist of Bridalveil Fall would improve one’s chances of marriage.

Eyjafjallajökull, Iceland – Place of Volcanic Eruptions And Landslides
The name’s hard to pronounce, something that would twist my tongue in ways more than I can imagine. But the place carry an immersive experience and sight to hold, for the rest of the life. The image shows the crater three years post an eruption in March 2013. Image below shows the eruption on 27 March 2010.
A flexible tongue to pronounce the name, and an adventurous heart to witness the volcanic eruptions that take place here. Eyjafjallajökull, consists of a volcano which is completely covered by an ice cap. Quite strange, as it’s all covered in ice, but carries a threat of volcanic eruptions and landslides, beneath it.

Sossusvlei, Giant Sand dunes in Namibia
It’s the area, surrounded by giant red sand dunes, which is located in the Southern part of the Namibia desert. They’re not just another Sand dunes, but among the world’s highest sand dunes on the earth.
Not only some of them, are 380 metres high, but are a beautiful sight as they flaunts pink-to-orange color, a consequence of a high percentage of iron in the sand and consequent oxidation processes. You can climb up there, to feel the air up there. There’re many like it, and they have names, just like every other mountain has.

Soca River, The Emerald Beauty, Slovenia
A river, 138km in length, that flows through western Slovenia and north-eastern Italy. Throughout his length, the river attracts many visitors due to its emerald-green water. Hence the name, The Emerald Beauty.
This river is also known for its unique trout species, known as marble trout. Which is now endangered due to the introduction of other non-indigenous trout species sometime between World War I and World War II.
The river has survived many wars(read 12 wars in the history, but none could ever hurt or harm the beautiful river.
Lake Baikal, Russia – A Record Holder
Lake Baikal holds number of records among the water bodies and is one of the prominent fresh water lake on the earth. Roughly 20% of the world’s unfrozen surface fresh water, Lake Baikal is one of the freshwater lake with greatest volume in the world. At 1642 metres, it’s one of the deepest lake in the world. 25 millions old, the lake is thought to be the oldest lake among all.
In winters, when the temperature is down to –2F, you wouldn’t want to miss the beautiful sight of frozen lake with blue and turquoise ice all over it.

Kauapea Beach – Secret Beaches In Hawaii
If you’re looking for a private place, secluded and of course, beautiful, Kauapea Beach, Hawaii, is the sight for you and your partner to enjoy. But to enjoy all this, you’ll have to struggle a bit to reach there, as it’s not easily accessible and no public roads will take you there.
You’re on your own. You’ll have to trot through unmark and unpaved path, bare-foot, to enjoy the marvel secluded beach. Here take my words for it, better head there in summers, to enjoy it at its best.
