If you’ve been through the part I of Top 6 Adventurous Landmarks On Earth, then we’ve some more adventurous places to entice and revive the wanderer in you. Just like the part I of this series, this, another series covers some more of adventurous journeys for you to explore.
There’s a lot more places and adventurous landmarks and journeys our eyes can behold. Here’s another six landmarks which are worth visiting.
Top Adventurous Landmarks On Earth
Waitomo Glowworm Caves, New Zealand
Waitomo Glowworm Caves, are more of an interesting and unique spot to enjoy on earth. They might not appear adventurous in any way, but they sure will hold your breath away, because of the view they has to offer.
Only attraction is because of the glow worms, a specie, that’s unique and only found in New Zealand. You’d be surprised to see the glow worms at work, the way they twinkle all along the cave path and the natural form of limestone would astound you.
It’s open for visitors. In fact, you can enjoy the guided tour of the cave. After all, it’s a tourist attraction.

Qiandao Lake, Thousand Island Lake
Qiando Lake, is a blend of man-made efforts and natural beauty to add a little more to the attraction. A man-made lake, scattered across a vast area, and a few thousand smaller islands are scattered across it, adds to the delight.
These islands, thousands in number, some of them, have a name (Bird Island, Snake Island, Monkey Island, Lock Island (featuring supposedly the world’s biggest lock), and the Island to Remind You of Your Childhood.), too are open for you to explore and live a little there.
To top it all, it’s fresh water lake, and is surrounded by lush forests. It’s a beautiful sight to explore.

Mount Thor, Baffin Island, Canada
With an elevation of 1675 metres, Mount Thor is also known by the name of Thor Peak.
Mount Thor, features the Earth’s greatest vertical drop of 1250 metres, making it an exceptional spot for rock climbing.
It’s a great sight for adventure seekers and ardent rock climbers.
Skye or Isle of Skye, Scotland
Skye or the Isle of Skye, is one of the picturesque location, best adventurous spot for photographers and adventure seekers (though, my view is more inclined towards photography than adventure).
The Isle of Skye, is the second largest island in Scotland, and is well-connected through bridges and road links for visitors to reach there easily. Some of the key attractions for you to enjoy include Dunvegan Castle, the Clan Donald Visitor Centre, and The Aros Experience arts and exhibition centre in Portree.
Highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 5895 metres, do deserve some of the adventurous eyes.
If you’re into trekking, Mount Kilimanjaro, would be the best bet. Trekking routes(Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Mweka, Rongai, Shira, and Umbwe.) are scenic, and are not as challenging as high peaks of the Himalayas or Andes. But we still would advise you to prepare well and be physically capable to do so.
If you are planning for a visit to Mount Kilimanjaro, do check out the Mount Kilimanjaro View Lodge. They offer premium accommodations at an affordable price. Click here to check for rooms in Mount Kilimanjaro view lodge.
Maroon Bells, most-photographed spot in Colorado
North Maroon Peak and Maroon Peak, are the two peaks which makes the Maroon bells. Maroon bells with one of the most scenic attractions in the world, is reputed to be the “most-photographed spot in Colorado”.
Maroon Bells, is all but mud stones, which is weak and fracture ready, making this mountain climbing a highly serious affair. That’s one reason, they’re also known as “The Deadly Bells”.
Maroon Bells is in close proximity to Aspen, which makes this place an accessible tourist destination.

Swiss Alps, Switzerland
Swiss Alps, which covers 65% of Switzerland’s surface area. I think, that’s one reason why Switzerland’s so scenic, making it an alpine countries. The countries with which Switzerland shares mountain ranges of the Alps are France, Italy, Austria and Liechtenstein.
Swiss Alps is covered by several rivers and lakes which includes Rhone, Rhine and Inn. Most of the lakes there are artificial, are used as hydroelectric reservoirs.
Not only it’s beautiful and adventurous, yet Swiss Alps enjoys well-connected accessible routes and roads to take you there. It’s one of the major destination for skiing and other winter sports. Swiss Alps is a home for the highest train station, highest ski area and highest summit of the European continent to be served by cable car.
And, one country, that’s almost free from industrialization and other such sources which pollutes the environment, is New Zealand. Go for the vast scenic beautiful places, all that’s natural and a bout of fresh air.
