A commercialized film but it proves to have viewers intrigued by its interesting plot. Based on a true story, it tells the story of a real-life famous duo of paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, as they try to help a family being haunted by a sinister demon. The Conjuring definitely has a couple of fair ‘scream-scenes’.

The first film was great, introducing a new kind of scary into the industry. The whole movie is portrayed via a camcorder and this low-budget production served only to benefit the storyline. Prepare to grip your seat as night falls and you anticipate the ever-growing movements of the demon which haunts the family and your screen.

A young priest loses his faith until he is faced with a chance to prove that the devil can be conquered. This is a more serious film with the heavier focus on the actual exorcisms. It has few scare tactic, although it has gruesome spiritual consequences. Enjoy this one with a friend.

Prepare to forget what it’s like to sleep. I hugged my bible tightly and prayed right until the break of dawn because I seriously thought I was going to fall asleep and walk right into the demon realm portrayed in this twisted movie. Perhaps slightly ‘gory’, it still leaves a lasting psychological impact on the viewer.
