India is a country of worshipers and when praying goes over the limits it turns into superstitions. Indians are the most spiritual people. Hindus are so much into gods that they are always trying to group things into two categories that is what would make god happy and what would not. We people are so much afraid of god that we have divided almost all things into categories of good things that will bring luck and bad things that would bring bad luck.
There are numerous numbers of superstitions that are believed and still followed by a major group of society. The shocking thing is that even the most educated ones also believe in these things. These things that might appear superstitions to other people are now a daily part of our and we have seen or practices it so much that it has now become our automatic reflex.
There are hundreds of superstitions in India or more particularly in Hinduism but I am listing out the ones that are most famous ones and practiced nearly every day.
This is the list about Top 6 Superstitions prevalent in India
1.Sneezing is Bad
Sneezing before going out or doing any good thing is believed to bring in bad luck. If someone sneezes while you are going out or doing anything then it is generally believed that you won’t succeed in your task as sneezing brings bad luck. This myth is the most popular one in India. The answer to this myth is pretty unclear that how a sneeze may turn around things on the bad side but still is blindly followed.

2.The Number Game
Indians are firm believers in astrology and we have our lucky numbers and colours assigned for each zodiac sign but other than this there are few numbers that are considered to be bad for any type of job. The number Three, Thirteen and the number Seventeen are not preferred before doing any big thing.
Indians don’t do anything if that is related to these three numbers for instances we don’t do three task together or work in the groups of 13 or 17 as these numbers will bring bad luck and would generally create hurdles in completion of the task. Similarly the Number Eleven is considered to be the most auspicious one and doing anything in multiples of Eleven is a good omen.
3.No looking at One Eye Blinded People
If you are going out in morning and you see a person who is one eye blinded than it is believed that your whole day would go bad, nothing good and productive would come out of that day. People believe in this thing so much that they generally change their routes if they know someone with one live there.
4.Broken Glasses Brings Luck/Badluck
This is a rather very confusing myth. There are criteria set for this superstitions that whether it would bring luck or bad luck. If a glass gets broken by chance or accident than it is a good omen and would bring good luck but having a broken glass in-house would bring bad luck to you and looking in the broken glass would affect your health.

5.Eating Curd and Sugar is a Good Omen
This one is rather the sweetest and my most favourite one. All Mothers of India perform this practice of giving curd and sugar to their sons before they are going out. People say that it would bring good luck and all your task would be completed easily.
6.Black Cat Ruins Everything
If you are going on your way to anywhere and if a black cat crosses your way then you will get a bad news very soon and to cancel out the bad luck you have to wait on the spot until someone else crosses the way before you. I have seen so many people standing on streets waiting for someone to go first as all the bad luck is generally believed to go with the first passer-by.
